I just bought two beautiful darlings a month ago. Their names are Eleanor and Leonardo (El and Leo for short). Of course they are both too young to actually know genders. Still trying to figure some things out, all the research in the world isn't always enough, and of course having a little difficulties and lots and lots of questions :) But they both seem very happy so far, and are growing quickly, and I'm glad to have a community to answer all my silly questions :D

Hi! I'm new too. How are yours doing? Biggest challenge so far for me: learning how to hand feed. I also have two that are juveniles.

Hi! Good luck to you! I recently lost all my axies, probably won't get anymore, too high maintenance, lol

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
