My golden girl just laid a very large first clutch of eggs 6 days ago and half the batch looks like its developing very well while the other half looks as if its slower in development (or no good). My question is, with this being her first clutch - is it worth selling the eggs that I don't plant on keeping that look underdeveloped for 6 days?

At 7 days you're basically at the limit because you don't want to send someone eggs that might hatch before they arrive in transit

I've only raised three batches of eggs, but these all look fine for their ages. I would recommend getting them sold ASAP because they are now past the "safe to freeze" stage and almost to the "might hatch in transit" stage.

Thanks for all the advice everyone! I have decided on which ones I'm keeping. As for the rest they have been all been sold and shipped. When I have my next batch of extras I will post!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
