I'm just wondering how many axies people have - can you answer my poll please?

Well, right now I've either got 2 or about 200 depending on how you look at it!

Right now 3 adults, 4 sub-adults, and 7 little babies waiting to find new homes.

I would probably have several more, if I had room for additional large tanks.
They are just like potato chips/crisps, you can't have just one. =)

2 adults and 2 babies that I'm keeping and 44 babies that'll need new homes soon... I'm running out of space!

Started with one. Got another one as a 'friend' for that axolotl. Saw two needing homes. Rescued them. Rescued axolotls then had 70 babies. Managed to find homes for all 70 babies, 20 of which went to a zoo. Now have four, which I love dearly.

Axolotls = Maths.

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
