Hello I got a two and a half to three inch long golden albino axolotl last Sunday I have been feeding him frozen bloodworms but I am not sure how much I should be feeding him. Should I feed him daily or every other day, and how much of a cube should I feed him I don't want to over/ under feed him. Also I have a 20 gallon long tank for him but I am currently keeping him in a storage container because I feel like he is too long for the big tank with the filter. I was wondering about how big he should be before I put him in the 20 gallon. Thank you for any help.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
