My axolotl is roughly 5 inches now and last night after having babies in there one of them decided to eat him, he's missing the front left side of gills and two back toes. i have separated the babies from him but im concerned he is thrashing about and kicking his gills he has left on the right side. is there a reason this is happening to him?
