Hi there! I'm new to caudata. Can anyone help me identify what is that white spot on my baby's middle gill. It looks like a fungus but doesn't seem to be one.

Could just be an air bubble or natural pigmentation. Sometimes gills "prune" themselves through natural die-off. If it looks furry/fuzzy/cottony and keeps growing, it's a fungus.
