What should i do with a salamander wound? please help

I just noticed a pretty large pink area near my four lined salamanders back leg so I took him out to get a better look and it looks like the skin was ripped off there no blood and it's not deep it just looks like the skin is missing what should I do

It could be a wound, but it can also be a sore due to (for example) a bacterial infection. Do you have a picture, because there's a big diffirence when it comes to treating these type of injuries? These sores can look like open wounds due to the flesh that gets eaten by the bacteria.

When you type up a reply, you can scroll down to the Additional options part, and select "manage attachments". You then choose the image you want to post, then select "upload" the image and post the reply.
