Hello, I'm just wondering if axolotls (juvenile and adult) can eat bottom feeder pellets. Here's the ingredients/info. Thanks!

It says the food is "disks", which doesn't sound like the right size/shape. The ingredients seem OK, although a product aimed at fully carnivorous fish would be better.

Have you heard of Rangen salmon pellets? Use the forum search to find out more.

I don't think bottom feeder pellets would be good for an axolotl because they're carnivores. I feed my axolotl sinking carnivore pellets and you can get them for around $10 at your local pet store.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
