Nice tank. Not sure if it is just the picture but the tank looks pretty foggy. Just wondering if the ammonia might be flaring up or something. But nice set up. Does he hide in those bricks? I think mine would love something like that but I have no room in my tank lol.

Hey Kevin... How did you get the grass to grow in there.... and what type of grass is it??

I`ve go to a fish shop and looked for some plants en I found there some of that grass. And buy`t it. I don`t know what for type it is. And it grows really good. And young newts can hide good in it.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
