Hello everyone!
My name's Ethan Kocak, and for the past year and a half or so I've been writing and drawing a free online webcomic called The Black Mudpuppy, which is about the Aztec god Xolotl getting trapped in the body of an axolotl for 500 years and then being forced to do good deeds against his will. I just launched a Kickstarter for printed editions, and thought I'd drop the caudata folks a line and let people know. And FYI, I'm a huge amphibian enthusiast in general, with a pair of axies of my own! Thanks for taking a look.

Looks cool. I like the art style. I also like the icons at the bottom of the page.

Since I've become more active here recently, I thought I'd resurrect this thread. I'm still making this comic, years later.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
