Going Away on Vacation

Hi all. I'll be going away on vacation for ten days at the end of July. I was wondering what everyone's course of action was for your caudates for when you're away for extended periods of time.

I have an A. tigrinum who I think will be fine without food for that amount of time as long as I give her a hefty meal right before we leave.

I'm more concerned about the T. dobrogicus and N. crocatus. They're all juveniles. (the dobrogicus just lost their gills) and are currently being fed about every other day. As of now I have a friend, experienced with amphibians, who agreed he can take them but I was wondering if there are any other ideas. I was considering throwing a live food source in the tanks with them like daphnia or brine shrimp but was unsure if there was any downside or risk to that.

In my aquarium for Triturus dobrogicus are always some Daphnia, because they reproduce faster than my newts eat them. So Daphnia are definetely suitable to provide a stable food source, but of course it depends on the population density in your tank if it works out for the whole ten days.

But don't do that with brine shrimps, because they usually die quickly in freshwater and will pollute the water.

for aquatic and semi-aquatic throw in live daphnia and blackworms/tubifex worms should be fine as long as water is well aerated
for land based, i think small fruit flies or tiny pinhead crickets should be ok
