Illness/Sickness: Young Axolotl

You need to stabilize the temp at 20c or less, the axolotl will all ready be stressed from the treatment and needs a low temp to recover properly. How you do it is up to you but if you cant do it in your own home have you a friend with a cool house ? If you have but cant get there every day to clean the tub out ,you could just load it with live daphnia as food, this will reduce the water change requirements.

New update,

She has her color back and has been given a clean bill of health from a professional and I'm currently cycling her new tank set up. :3

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
