Ok first how often should I change the water in my tank I have all the eggs 100-200 in a 10 gallon tank. Also I have seen a lot of setups on here with plants in there tubs for the babies but I can't figure out what kind they are. Any help/tips are greatly appreciated! Thanks!

i wouldnt recommend a 10 gallon setup for eggs
i use shallow sterilite shoe bins
eggs dont need water changes until they start hatching

Small plastic boxes are fine for eggs. They need a constant temp as fluctuations can kill them. I change water once a week with eggs.

Hatchlingd appreciate plants to hide in - pondweed is fine (and cheap).

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
