What pets does everyone own?

2 axolotls (many babies), 3 cats, 8 rats, a leopard gecko, 3 crested geckos, a beardie, a fire skink, a dozen tropical fishies, and 2 budgies.

We have 5 axolotls
Too many cichlids to count
Two guppies, one neon tetra, two aneus catfish, and one betta
One mini dachshund
And a hybrid mixed with German Shepherd and Lab.

I wish I could have rats but I literally have 0 free money . I counted my salamander larvae, I thought there was 50... I was 55 off and counted 105?!?

We have the standard 2 dogs and a cat, and then:

5 axolotls
2 Necturus cf. beyeri
1 African mudskipper
1 figure 8 puffer
1 crested gecko
1 degu

40 gallon reef aquarium with:
1 copperband butterfly
1 scooter blenny
3 occellaris clownfish
1 Citron goby
1 bullet goby
Numerous crabs, shrimp, corals
1 Peacock mantis shrimp that lives in the sump named Punchy

2.5 gallon pico reef tank on my office desk at work. Mainly has coral frags from my big tank. Does house a watchman goby and a pistol shrimp pair.

We have a 20 gallon planted FW tropical tank with basic tetras and loaches.

I think that's it. Last year the 40 gallon used to house 4 dwarf cuttlefish that I raised from eggs, but they do not live long lives, sadly. I have some excellent photos and video of those guys though. Some of the most amazing animals I've ever kept.

I have three cats (an old Maine Coon, her granddaughter, and a little long-haired black half-Siamese kitten), a twenty gallon aquarium with countless guppies, a common pleco (currently about eighteen centimetres), and a little corydoras catfish, and a second twenty gallon aquarium two Alpine newts (I a apuanus).
I would add pictures, but I do not know how to do so ...

Marsupial frogs (G.riobambae), Firebelly toads (B.orientalis), Greek tortoise (T.h.boutgeri) and my gf has two cats. I don't like furry animals, but they came with the package 7 years ago. The newts we keep are in my signature.

Seems most here have a bad case of MTS (Multi Tank Syndrome)...

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
