:D Right for those of you who contributed to the rather long thread on greys' treefrog taddies ,I thought you maybe interested to know that I got 17 babies out and have kept them outside for over two months, in a large plastic viv with lots of ventilation. Not one death and they are thriving, also I have kept my 10 hyla arborea outside again they are thriving. One death :( hyla cineria kept constantly in doors fed on gut loaded crickets and under a U/V tube. I am now breeding several spieces of roach as they are nutritionally superior to crickets as food, Iwill report back on the results, my last years babies are very large as they fed well on blubottles this year. Ona sad note my old female grey died a few weeks ago after 6.5 years in captivity and she was a wild caught adult. Still at the begining of October I hibernate them ,so better luck next year.

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
