Hey madeve whats up. So those are the little guys you got from Kaysie, nice. They look awesome, so very much like the ones I got. Mine are eating just pellets now. They even notice me when I'm going to feed them and they just come to the surface and eat right off the top of the water. I think I'll be having lots more soon, my adult female is getting too big. I'll probably be seeing the axolotl growth process all over agian.

I don't know if trained would be the term I would use lol, when I measure them I just slide my tape measure under the containers where the axies are lazily resting, I also tend to measure a little while after a feeding so they've had their exercise and are now taking a break lol.

Still growing and getting fat ... here are Jeckyll and Hyde (my husband picked the names lol). We will start pellets and baby earthworms this week-end and if they take to it Hyde will finally be going in the cycled tank. I believe Jeckyll needs to grow a bit before joining his sibling. Let me know what you guys think.

Did you name them after that show Jeckyll with James Nisbett, because that show is AWESOME.
It is based around the 'real' Jeckyll and Hyde.

I've never seen the show sorry. But I think his inspiration was the original Jeckyll/Hyde. It's mostly because they look alike except for their size. It seems Hyde is a giant in comparison to Jeckyll.

Well it's been a little while, they have finally moved into their tank and seem happy to be together again. No limbs or gills have gone missing. I'm also looking to give them actual names because Jeckyll and Hyde are really not working for me. Ideas are welcome.

Gee, Eve, don't you ever feed them? Lol. They look great! As for names... I'm not very good at that.

I think I actually have an issue with getting them to eat their worms now that they are in the tank, in their containers I had a long pair of tweezers they would take the worm bits from but now they don't want to come to get them. They also go hide if I put my hand in the water, guess we'll have to try and meet halfway...

How long have they been in the tank? They might get used to you putting your hand in if they've only just gone in. Found my (adults) adjusted to that within a week or so. They look great. Well done.

I believe these are both males

Hi all,

here are my boys, I think it's official now, tell me what you think. They about 6 months old and their toes are dark. They measure about 6 and 7 inches.
So am I right thinking they are boys judging by the pictures?

Re: I believe these are both males

I think your guess about 2 boys is probably pretty accurate.
