Worried About Axies Eye

spot my male lusistic axie has black eyes but has developed a partially red eye his left one his right one is ok any reeson why his eye would be going red?his eye is not completely red just a thick red line down the middle sorry no pic camera stolen he other wise seem ok eating and pooping midnight seems okay as well

could he have knocked it on anything such as a rock or stone? Do you have any plants in your tank? Any other tank decorations that may have a sharp edge?

hi no the tank is bare at the moment just the filter him and midnight in there i gave the plants and decorations to guppys and newts

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
