I've picked up a package of API general cure as a tide-over until I can ship Methlymene Blue into the country to treat my tank- the back states it only has praziquantel and metronidazole, but after skimming through threads here on Caudata, someone mentioned it had copper sulphade? It was an older thread from 2009 showing the old box, so I pulled up the Mars Fish Care site to get a better idea of what the ingredients were-

NAME CAS RN %
sodium chloride 7647-14-5 >80
metronidazole 443-48-1 1-10
praziquantel 55268-74-1 1-5
silica amorphous, fumed, crystalline free 112945-52-5 1-5

All came up- I was just wondering if anyone knew about silica amorphous, or if anyone had tried API General Cure recently to any positive effect? My axolotls are all fridged right now regardless and getting salt baths daily so they won't be in the tank until they're all cleared up regardless.. I just don't want to hurt them by any means D:

What are you trying to cure? If it's fungus salt baths should work. Adding chemicals is probably a last ditch resort as axies don't have tough scales like fish, which these chemicals are designed for.
