Hello,
I got my two leucistic (one gfp, one non) axoltols a month ago. The non-gfp leucistic, "Blossom", is about a year and a few months old. The other one is about 6-7 months old now. I was told Blossom was a male but it seems too chunky to be a male lol. It has a small bump in between the legs, though I am not sure since it's not very swollen. I know this question is asked a lot & i'm sorry. Please let me know what you think, thanks!

Blossom is definitely a female. A males cloaca is much larger. Maybe you'll end up with a pair?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
