My axolotl, Echo, has developed a strange growth. It's only been there for 4 days I have never noticed it before that. I asked my aquatics tutor who is experienced in axolotls and she said she wasn't sure but it looks like a kind of skin cancer or something. Also, Echo had a fungal infection about a month ago and I gave her salt baths and the fungus went away. After that she stopped eating and hasn't eaten or passed any waste in over a month. She just got more fungus a few days ago and this growth appeared!

Any advice will be appreciated thanks!

I'm definitely not 100% sure what it could be but it definitely looks like some kind of irritation. She's likely not eating because she's irritated and stressed. My guess is that it is a type of fungus, but since the salt bath didn't seem to work very well I would consider taking her to a vet for further treatment options.

AW: What is this strange growth on my Axolotl?

Seeing amphibian vet tomorrow, she ate today for the first time in over a month, and her fungal infection seems to be gone! But growth is still there.
