Oh my, your glass is so clean! It looks like Francis is stanind in the middle of the room.

Francis looks like a lovely-tailed wild type to me.

Thank you. I'd cleaned his tank the day before I took the photo, it does look like he's jnust in the middle of the room. I brought him a 3ft tank today because that one's a bit small, the bigger one's going to be a bit harder to keep clean though haha.

I love his tail . Thanks for the help, i don't know much about colour types yet but that sounds good to me haha.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
