Hi JAM,
No axies cannot come out of the water.
I feed them in their tank and remove
any uneaten food before it spoils the water.
I hope this is of help.
Cheers,
Chris.

Thanks!
Coz I was reading that ppl take them out to eat, so I will need to take it out into a small container with water to feed?
Coz sometimes it is hard to find all the bits of uneaten food

Yes, you can feed it in a separate small container, but be sure to put tank water into the container so you don't shock the axolotl with an abrupt change to different water. Some axolotls may be freaked out by being moved and too scared to eat; you'll just have to try it and see. Handle the animal carefully!
