I live in Australia and I was wondering if there is anyone else in Australia that have axies, sand, food and care items.

I would really like to ask about sand especially if you live in Queensland, thats way we can understand places and shops etc.

Does anyone in Queensland got sand for their tank? coloured?

Hi Firebugjen, I'm in Brisbane. I have silver sand in my tanks. I prefer just the white as it gives the tank a lighter appearance. I find I tend to keep it cleaner as I can see easily if anything needs to be cleaned up.

Hi Firebunjen, I'm on the north side. I got my silver sand from the pet shop in Kippa Ring. It is $2.40 for 2kg. 4kg did my 2 ft tank great. And sorry there were no other colours.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
