Living Brine Shrimp Weirdness?

I purchased a bunch of live brine shrimp two days ago to feed a finicky juvenile axie, and they're just sitting in a a little ziploc tupperware of brine, the water that I got them in. I noticed something weird going on, though. In the tub there are white fluffy sorts of things all over, and a large orange mass at the bottom, all close together. In the tub that my axie is in, the brine shrimp are all surrounding little white fluff balls. I have no aeration. Any idea what this all is?

Could they be dead shrimp? When I kept sea monkeys they went somewhat fluffy for a short while after they died, then shrivelled and went black
 
It's not dead shrimp. They're seriously little white fluff balls that groups of brine shrimp are carrying around.

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
