I have yet to see my adf eat. But he looks pretty healthy... and his food seems to be dissapearing but I have a bubble molly that might be eating it. Haven't seen the bubble molly eat anything but his flakes though. Any ideas?

Hi, all the clawed frogs that i've kept in the past both dwarf and i's bigger relative have been very greedy, so maybe the frog is stressed by the molly? i would split them up and see if the frog starts feeding again. I know pet stores sell dwarf frogs as being suitable for community tanks but i would keep them on their own.
Hope this helps

I have 3 frogs and it's impossible to tell who's who, so sometimes during feeding time, there is only 2 or even just 1 eating the food. I never stay to watch, but they all seem healthy. I toss in A LOT of food though, for all 3 frogs and my cory, so perhaps once they get full there is still enough left. If he appears healthy and active I wouldn't worry too much about it. Maybe toss extra food in, but be sure to clean the tank more often if you do that.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
