Hi Folks,
i came across this URL below when checking on food items
https://www.caudata.org/cc/articles/foods2.shtml
Food Protein Fat Calcium Phosphorous Cahos Ratio
Earthworms 62.2 17.7 1.72 0.90 1.91
Tubifex worms 46.1 15.1 0.19 0.73 0.26
Crickets, adult 64.9 13.8 0.14 0.99 0.14
Mealworms 52.7 32.8 0.11 0.77 0.14
Currently i am mostly feeding my sallies on chopped earthworms or small crickets but sometimes i run out of them. Recently i tried Tubifex worms surprising my Land sallies do eat them in a small feeding dish. looking at the table above Tubifex worms seems better than crickets or mealworms. i tried to avoid mealworms as they may bite.
may i know if tubifex worms are ok as a temporary food items for 1-2 weeks?
thanks
