Just for reference, here is the hybrid tiger salamander! This is an adult hybrid salamander. They grow larger than either of the parent species, the introduced barred tiger salamander and the endangered California Tiger salamander. They have a larger mouth and grow fast, and have been wreaking havoc on other species that share ponds with them. The larva are rounded up from ponds.

Wow, thanks for this post Rorey. You obviously know your Tigers. Great pictures as well. Your response in my other post "Slugo" has got me thinking about the possibility of breeding and maybe a different configuration for the enclosure. So far I'm comfortable with my ability to provide my guy suitable conditions.

Thanks again for the great images.
