What a stunning little fellow you have! I know one of the babies I am getting will be a golden and I can only hope that it is as beautiful as this little fellow! I am wanting to get some of my babies from Margie after hearing such wonderful things and seeing how beautiful her babies are.

That is so cool. I am yet to catch mine on camera mid yawn.

I caught Zion doing it totally by accident - I was taking pictures of him and just clicked off a bunch of them. I saw him move but I thought he'd just done a gill-flick mid-picture. Then I went back through my SD card and lo and behold! the Yawn.

Heh well it's been a while. I left because of the rep system here and the tension it breeds between members. Still not a fan, but I'll update on Zion... he has grown so much!

I also have a new baby (a rescue) named Killian. :)

He's gotten very big and handsome :) good job! I also have to agree with the rep thing, I haven't really bothered touching the place but I wanted to see the updates haha.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
