I'm thinking about keeping some T.shanjing, would they be a good species for a begginer as i have only kept T.marmoratus and C.orientalis. And if anyone could give me a basic care sheet on them that would be great, thanks:D

Look at Max Sparreboom online catalogue, Caudata culture, salamander land.
Personally think robust hardy newt. Striking colouring.
San Diego have a stud book on google with some care.

Check the caudata culture links or these forums for care info. This is an easy terrestrial species IF captive bred and kept at "room temperature". I would not recommend it wild-caught.
