We have a 3 year old male explore who has always previously been healthy has a fairly bad mouth sore. He is still eating frozen bloodwork, live blackstone, and frozen brine shrimp with a feeder fish thrown in every once in a while.

We semi-recently upgraded his tank size from 10 to 20 gallon, added some driftwood from a local aquarium store.

Thanks for any help, he is an important part of our family.

I can’t seem to find the post, but recently someone else posted something about their axolotl having a sore that was very similar. I believe the fix was that they took him to a vet and they rubbed something on the sore to help it heal

Did the sore appear after the tank transfer? Have you tested your water parameters?
