Hey so I'm an anxious new axie owner and just spotted this in my tank. It looks kind of eggy but she's been with me for like 5 days now so it can't be right?

Any idea what it might be? The beige thing closest to the front is uneaten food from last night, I'm talking about the membranous thing next to the Buddha's knee.

Any ideas? Should I be worried? Should I chill out? Please help

If the beige thing next to it is uneaten food then my guess is it is poop.
When I fed my axolotls krill they had krill colored poo and now they are on nightcrawlers and have brown/black poop.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
