Thank you so much for posting these pictures!
Any chance you could share some of the details and your findings in your breeding and rearing of this species?

I look forward to seeing more!

Spray is very important in stimulating mating and laying.
What did you think of?

Do you really think it's important to spray? I'm in November, ending spring time here, and i put the male a little late this season and nothing happened. I have one male and two females, all WC, eating very well, i got the females in 2011 and a friend lend me the male that came in the same importation, so i assume they could be form the same locality...here i upload some pictures of the actual set up, could you give me any advice?

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
