Hi!

My juvenile axies are about 4 inches now, about half golden albino. You can see through their heads wile they are eating food still (its a bit creepy) because they are still a little bit transparent! they are quite big now so i was wondering if this ever goes away with albinos or do they always stay a little see through?

the only adult albino i have is a copper and he's quite dark and you cant see through his head.

I noticed that my leucistics were transparent for way longer than I expected. You could see their brain. Way cool. Have you put them in a glass bowl and looked at their heartbeat yet? That's awesome too!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
