I have two young leucistics. I named one "Lantern", because he/she (how do you tell?) was much brighter in color than the other when I first got them (though I soon discovered that how bright their gills are changes). I named the other "Shostakovich", after my favorite orchestral composer.

I have two Axies,
An Albino named Alex
A golden named Chuckie (because with his face and his bright 'red' gills I think he looks like Chuckie from the rugrats xD)

I don't know if this names will fit because I'm not 100% sure on their gender but I'm pretty sure Alex is male anyway. (I just hope they are both male because I still live with my parents and they aren't too keen on having another tank around the place!)

I also have 8 goldfish
Cali
Tiger
Treasure
Google
Dash
Rusty
Jewel
Abraham

Four Danios
Trio
Shrimp
Neon
Sardine
(though I since Neon grew to the same size as Sardine I can no longer tell them apart xD)

One Betta
Freckle

Two Dogs
Max
Charlie

Two Cats
Nellie
Junior

Two Rabbits
Buttons
Ashley

I want more Axies and Bettas D=

Since people are adding their other pets' names I thought I would jump on board too.

Dogs:
Lola
Mocha Swirl (sister's dog)
Molson (other sister's dog)

Past Pets
Carl the ghost shrimp
Lavender the mouse
Lady Penelope the mouse
Fudgeo the bunny
Andy the love bird
Kiki the budgie
PJ (for Puffy Junior) the hamster

I don't remember the name of the fish I had as a very young kid, but I do know I named one Smarties, and others after my sisters and cousin.

I like really pompous sounding names, or to name my pets after multiple celebrities.

I have a betta named Bastian with a school of 6 neon tetras who are named collectively Exercise, since Bastian follows them around. Some African dwarf frogs named Kenneth, Eugine, and Preston.

I had a cat named Sir Pepe le Pouncer, since he looked like Pepe le Peu.

And finally, my axolotls are Enrique Anthony and Tyra Herman Oprama Banks Bimpson (or Tubby Tyra or THOBB). I hope to name their children equally ridiculous names.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
