My name is Hannah, and I live in Alabama. A person on tumblr directed me here, since I am looking to buy two Axolotls.
I'm still very new to this place, but hopefully I can meet some very wonderful people!
If anyone also knows someone who has a good rep on here for selling Axolotls, please let me know! And it would be a bonus if they had decent prices...Since I'm also going to have to buy the tank, their food, and so on for them. Please send a message if you know of any, and thank you!

Hi Hannah and welcome to the forum. As someone new to the forum and axolotls, you will appreciate having these articles from our Caudata Culture site to read:

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
