My ~2in ambystoma maculatum larvae is currently taking primarily fruit fly maggots. I will be going away for a night or two later this month and I was wondering if I could refrigerate cleaned, live fruit fly maggots for my pet sitter to feed during my absence? My hope being the cool temps will prevent them from cocooning up and keep them slow, live, fresh and clean to make it easier for the "babysitter" to feed.

Thanks!

You might be just as well off skipping feeding for a day or two.
