Hi Tim,

any estimations? Can you give me web sites of the traders in Japan?
Thanks in advance.
It is very concerning if all these animals die and no-one knows why.

Hi Sergé,

Just for info, I´ve seen some at the Hamm fair this spring.

If you need further details, contact me directly by email.

Has there been any more recent luck with reproduction in other species of Neurergus this past year? I haven't heard much news, but perhaps someone attending any of the bigger expositions this year has seen or heard something new.

p.s. Nearly two months back in South America and still no Caudates... shame.

Yes, those at Hamm would be the same as the ones at Houten in the Netherlands a few weeks later.

Thank you all, the latest information is again sad, most animals are sick or have already died. Most animals imported were again males...

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
