Looking for homes for my young axolotls, all over 6 months of age between 4-7 inches in length. I have luestic, golden, albino, melandoid, and wild type. Going to college and will not be home to care for them. Im only asking $10 for each.

If interested or want pictures email me at Faithdemo06@aol.com

I might be interested if someone can tell me if a sub-adult (8 or 9 months) would eat a 6 month or not.

Moonflakes, is your axolotl's size is similar (within an inch or so) of the others, then most likely there won't be any problems. They might have some scuffles and injuries at first, but I believe they're usually related to hunger. Like they might bite at each others tails or feet if they haven't eaten in a while.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
