Swollen Cloaca, help desperatley wanted!!!!

Please help, my axolotls cloaca is swelling up! I dont know whats wrong! My tank is bare except for a filter, a live plant and half a flower pot and one snail. He's eating fine (i feed him axolotl pellets) and the PH level is around 7.5. Can someone please tell me whats wrong?!?!?!?!

Are you able to post a picture at all? Is he fed anything else, how long have you had him and what substrate was he previously on? Since you mention pH levels what are the other water parameters - ammonia, nitrite and nitrate? The more info and more importantly a photo the better someone here may be able to help! Also, tank temp. :D

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
