Metamorphosis

Hi. I´m Juan Manuel and I from Uruguay
I know that the growing hormone is the best for the proces of metamorphosis in Ambystomas mexicanum and they assegure the exit of reproduction in the next stage.
But i dont know nothing about the dosis, can sombady help me???

From what i've learnt, in my short time of experience, metamorphosis is not a good thing for your axie! In fact its meant to take 4-5 years from there life!

I may be wrong!

these hormone doses are not good for your axolotl, in fact, if you look at the size of the needle used compared with the axie, that will hurt.
i dont think many people would know, as i belive it is frowned upon.
if i were you, i would leave your axie alone, and let nature take its course, and you never know, yours might morph naturally!
 
in alot of the hormone cases the axolotl dies from the stress, only like less then 10% make it, and once it does metamorphose i will die within 1-5 years.

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
