My New Axolotl!

Hi Coen Deurloo,
In Hong Kong, since we are small city, so we may able to buy these things easily, but I' remember the shop mentioned that it's a Holland moss ball, I thought it originally comes from your country???
But the only bad thing's that the soil comes out from inside, I may replace a new one soon, I saw another one with longer grass and not like this!

i like your axi very much, in a future i would like to get one like yours

Thermometres use something in alchohol now, I think its ethanol (which is still bad if so) but im not sure. Mercury defenately isn't used in them any more.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
