Just recently got two axolotls, put them in a cycled tank and everything. Then out of nowhere 2 days into having them one dies. So I fridged the other one in hopes of fighting an apparent fungal infection since the other once had a white slime on him. Now the albino contracted something and has white frills in his gills. :( please help, need answers as to what these green sticks are in his gills? They look like they’re coming from his ears almost(if they had ears??).

If there's a fungal problem the best thing to do is either salt or tea baths. Save fridging for digestion issues.
Did your other axolotl have the same things on its gills? If we can get more info on the other axolotl it may help a lot as whatever happened to him may be ailing this one. Unless there was a genetic problem maybe we can figure out what happened to the one that passed.
What is the tank temp and parameters? What is the diet? Any other things you can think of would help as well.
