Hey, well for added calcium (as someone spoke about earlier) processing and proper uv consumption I would suggest Zilla's desert series florescent bulb. I've been using those bulbs for about a year with my beardie and its pretty healthy. :) And yes, you might need to separate those two for different requirements. :D

Oh for an update. I no longer have the box turtle. I gave it to an experienced keeper who could treat its MBD, shellrot, and defincies better than I could. The bearded dragon is alone in the 55 gallon now and is doing well. I am sick though. My bearded dragon likes earthworms and night crawlers, is that normal? It will not however, eat any greens.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
