Hello Folks,
i am new to Hynobius species.
May i ask if anyone keeps Hynobius from Taiwan?
Specifically Hynobius glacialis and Hynobius sonani
Are the captive requirements similar to Hynobius dunni below?
https://www.caudata.org/cc/species/Hynobius/H_dunni.shtml
may i also ask if Hynobius species are aggressive species? can they be keep in small group of 1M 2F in a 10 gallon tank with a Large floating dock 50% land area surface? also a small air bubble box filter installed for filtration and aeration.
i plan to house them in my wine fridge at temperature about 14C-21C. is this ok for long term housing?

Thanks and cheers!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
