I’m unsure of how old she is, I got her in late August when she was around 4inches long
I’m pretty sure she’s a girl, but sometimes her cloaca looks too big? Any expert axolotl Sexers?! and any guesses on her age?

As of now, she appears to be female. However, as she's not quite fully grown yet, it's very possible that her cloaca will grow and that she's actually a male. The second reason I vote female is because she seems to pretty rotund, and as you probably know, females are rounder and stockier than males. Either way, cute axolotl! :)

I'd say about 6 months to a year based on size alone, and female based on body shape (more rotund and stocky).

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
