I am probably going to get a Veiled Chameleon. Anyone have advice on what might be the best nutrient (vitamin + mineral) powder would be best for dusting crickets?

I've always used Vetark Nutrabal for dusting crickets and balancing the calcium ratio in various other staple diets. I haven't kept Chamelions, but I used Nutrabal to raise my Leopard tortoises from hatchlings to healthy 20yr old adults with no problems at all.

After I posted this, I found a site with forums called Chameleon Forums <www.chameleonforums.com>. It is very helpful for this type of reptile in particular. Lots of good advice there....

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
