Has anyone fed rotifers to newt larvae with success? I have a culture of rotifers going that I feed Repashy soilent green. They are smaller than bbs.

The newt larvae in question are T.Dobrogicus and N.Crocatus.

Thanks

They would be a fine food for a week or two to get the larvae started but they are too small to be a decent food for long. Transitioning to moina and then daphnia would be ideal. Moina are small enough to be taken as soon as the yolk sacs are absorbed so I normally just feed those.

These are really tiny foods.
Most rotifers mesure between 0,1 to 1 mm long.
Most eurasian newts can eat artemia or small daphnia as first preys but I've heard about Notophtalmus hatchlings needing very small preys. Perhaps interesting for this genus ?
