Pleurodeles Waltl transition from juvenile to adult

Hi,

Anyone know how to see if a Pleurodeles Waltl is juvenile or adult? Is it just based on size or do they look different in some way? I've tried finding answers to this elsewhere but I can't find anything definitive.

I guess there are factors like nutrition that would make a difference, but I can't be specific. The adults will be more developed physically. You could try googling pictures of pleurodeles waltl adult and pw juvenile and if you see enough pictures, you can get a feel. Or poke around pics on the site.

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
