Good afternoon!

I am raising a group of 11 Chinese Fire Belly Newt efts. There are all roughly about a year old. I attached some pics of my current setup for them. They are currently eating dusted fruit flies. I’ve read the care guide that is off Caudata and I’m fairly knowledgeable but I’m looking for people with some real experience that could give me some best practices going forward. Tips and tricks. When is the best time to introduce them to water? It’s hard to see but I have a small food dish in there that I use for water. Any tips and help would be appreciated

Thanks

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
