So i fed my axolotls some worms last night and this mornig it seems that the axolotls spit the worms out and that made the water white and smelly before i clean the HOLE set up is there some thing i can do other than that?
thanks for your time.
ps sorry i spelled help wrong:(

Hi,

What types of worms did you feed? How are the water parameters and temperature? Poor tank conditions can make axies regurgitate.

Its best to perform frequent small volume water changes (20%). Changing all the water and cleaning out the whole tank can remove the beneficial bacteria and complicate the cycling process.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
